この展覧会は、アーティストユニット「フタボンコ」と「オモイデコレ クタス」のコラボレート。
「オモイデコレ クタス」は、「フタボンコ」との協働プロジェクトの募集に応えて集 まった有志の市民グループです。
「フタボンコ」＋「オモイデコレクタス」は「山口市の〈おもいで〉を 通してまちを捉え直す」という活動テーマのもと、昨年9月から約半年間に渡り、市内での〈おもいで〉写真を収集する活動を行なって きました。その結果、市民の皆様のご協力により、約450枚ものすてきな写真が集まりました。このうち365枚は「日めくりカレ ンダー山口市版」として編集され、発売されます。何気なく過ごす今日一日が、実は世界の誰かの記念日であるというイマジネーション。カレンダーを使う人にとっても、ちょっぴり大切な日となるようにと願って 制作されました。
今回の展覧会では、一枚だけの写真だと見過ごしてしまうような何気な いスナップや、個人の小さな記念日が集積され展示されています。カレ ンダーから発想された4つのユニークな展示によって、日常的な 山口の市民の視点を通して見ながら、山口に暮らす人もそうでない人 も、同時に共感できる〈おもいで〉から私たちの日常を見つめ直すきっ かけになればと考えています。アーティストと市民グループ、そして協 力していただいた全ての皆様によって創り上げられた本展覧会で〈おも いで〉散策を楽しんでください。
