夫婦で事務所を構え、住宅や商業施設、公共施設までを手がけ、精力的に設計活動を行う今注目の建築家の展覧会を開催します。
屋根にたくさんの人々が集う「屋根の家」（2001）、雪に埋もれる長さ160メートルのコールテン鋼の蛇「越後松之山『森の学校』キョロロ」（2003）、大きな引き戸により出入り口が全開する45メートル×34メートル、高さ8メートルの無住空間「トヨタL&F広島本社」（2003）など、明快なコンセプトのもとシンプルで心地よい空間を創出することで知られ、多くの建築賞を受賞するなど彼らの活動は高く評価されています。
現在進行中の最新プロジェクトは、アートディレクター・佐藤可士和氏との初のコラボレーション。幼稚園舎「ふじようちえん」（2007春、竣工予定）です。外周200メートルの楕円形のこの幼稚園舎は、どの部屋からでも中庭を臨むことができ、3本の大ケヤキが突き抜ける屋根の上を500人の園児たちがぐるぐる走り回ることのできるなど、園舎自体が巨大な遊具に見立てて設計されています。
今回の展覧会では、この「ふじようちえん」1/10模型、「キョロロ」1/20模型のほか、設計の過程で無数に生み出されるスタディ模型で会場を埋め尽くします。デビュー作の「副島病院」（1995）から計画中のプロジェクトまで一堂に収集、手塚貴晴+手塚由比の活動の全貌を紹介します。
